People come to therapy for many different reasons. Sometimes there is a clearly defined problem. Sometimes the difficulty is harder to name: the same situations keep repeating, something feels increasingly difficult to manage, or life seems to be working on the outside while not feeling quite right on the inside.

My role is to help you understand what is happening, how different parts of the problem fit together and what might help you respond differently.

I work in a structured and collaborative way, but therapy is not a standardised process. What we focus on, how quickly we move and which approaches we use depend on your circumstances, your goals and what becomes important as the work develops.

Understanding what is happening

Techniques are useful, but they make more sense when we understand what they are meant to change.

A clear process, adapted to the person

Structure gives therapy direction, while flexibility keeps the work responsive to your life and what emerges along the way.

More than symptoms

Anxiety, low mood, avoidance or relationship difficulties matter, but your history, values and context are part of the picture too.

A collaborative relationship

You know your life in a way I never can. I bring psychological knowledge, clinical experience and therapeutic methods.

How I work

Evidence-based, collaborative and grounded in everyday life

My main therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), together with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other approaches within contemporary cognitive and behavioural therapies.

CBT helps us understand the relationships between thoughts, emotions and behaviour, and particularly the patterns that can maintain psychological difficulties over time.

ACT adds another important perspective: not every difficult thought or emotion needs to disappear before we can live differently. Therapy can also involve learning to relate to internal experiences with greater flexibility and making choices guided by what matters to you rather than solely by what you are trying to avoid.

Training

Training and professional background

Before becoming a psychologist, I spent more than 15 years working in communications, media production, and cultural and educational projects. It was a very different professional world, but one that taught me a great deal about people: how differently we understand the same situation, how much context matters, and how important it is to listen before assuming you know the answer.

I graduated from the Faculty of Psychology at Titu Maiorescu University and completed a Master's degree in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapies at the University of Bucharest. I completed my training in cognitive-behavioural psychotherapy with ATCCPR.

I am a member of the Romanian College of Psychologists and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS), and I continue to develop my clinical practice through ongoing training, supervision and professional study.
